Real Life Stories Part 1

Standard

As Students we need to find ways to keep us motivated. Finding the Inspiration to live life to the fullest and experience the most out of life. As a student I have found motivational Techniques that help, when I am stressed or even having a bad day. I want to share them with everyone and hope they can be a help.

Busy schedules, assignment deadline, finance for college, making new friends, new environment, all these areas and more can be the cause of stress and anxiety for students.

Here is a few techniques that can help you have a better day.

  • Keep a diary – Why not document your life, this can help clear your mind and lift a weight off your shoulders, writing or typing down what you did that day and how you feel can give you a sense of relief. Once you click save or close the dairy it also feels all your problems have left your mind and now you are making room for the positive thoughts.
  • Allow yourself to work with other students – This can help you gain some good skills, such as teamwork and organisation. It can help you also to learn from other students and their experiences. Each student can help to motivate the rest of the team, as a result of better work and positive outcomes, but need to be sure everything is balanced and the work load is fair.
  • Make things fun – Studying for exams is not a very fun way to spend your days, so why not make it fun. Get a group together and make it a study group make it into a game (not a drinking game) and have some fun with it. Ask each other questions.
  • Self Reflection – Most of us as student want to succeed, we just need to figure out what we need to do to get there. One way to motivate students is to get them to take a hard look at themselves and determine their own strengths and weaknesses. Students are often much more motivated by creating these kinds of critiques of themselves than by having a teacher do it for them, as it makes them feel in charge of creating their own objectives and goals.
